Mr. Leaverton rejoined the firm in 2016 as an associate attorney after almost three years practicing as corporate counsel for a privately held company where he primarily advised on general corporate and transactional matters. During his previous tenure with the firm, Mr. Leaverton spent four years as both a law clerk and associate engaging in an extensive motion practice in civil litigation.
Mr. Leaverton holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas Tech University and a Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University. While at Texas Tech, he was regularly on the President’s list and Dean’s list as well as a recipient of the University Scholars Scholarship. Thereafter, he received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. While attending Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, Mr. Leaverton was on the Dean’s list every semester, a recipient of the Faculty Law Scholarship, and served as a staff writer on the Texas Wesleyan Law Review. Additionally, he served as the Treasurer of the Student Bar Association during his final year of law school.
Mr. Leaverton is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Tarrant County Bar Association, and the Tarrant County Young Lawyers’ Association.
Mr. Leaverton is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and his admissions include the United States District Court for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas.
