Mr. Gibbons joined the firm in 2017 after working as an associate attorney at another Dallas-Fort Worth area law firm. Prior to beginning his practice in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Mr. Gibbons worked at Baylor University School of Law, assisting in its trial advocacy program, and completed various internships with the Texas Railroad Commission and the 133 rd District Court of Harris County, Texas. Mr. Gibbons focuses his practice on alternative finance litigation, representation of secured creditors, and representation of creditors in bankruptcy matters. In his practice, Mr. Gibbons routinely represents a wide array of asset-based financing companies, revenue-based funders (sometimes referred to as merchant cash advance funders), and traditional financial institutions in state, federal, and bankruptcy matters. While much of his practice focuses in Texas, Mr. Gibbons has also managed litigation in several states, working in conjunction with local counsel.
