Biography

Grace Bregard joined the firm of Padfield & Stout, LLP in 2021 and is dedicated to assisting the firm’s civil litigation practice with a focus on commercial litigation, creditor’s rights, and related dispute resolution matters. With comprehensive litigation experience developed through both firm work and judicial internships, Ms. Bregard is well-positioned to provide effective legal advocacy for a diverse range of clients.

Experience & Highlights

  • Secured a multi-million-dollar settlement in a case involving fraud, breach of contract, RICO, and conversion claims, resulting in a substantial recovery for the client.
  • Negotiated and recovered millions in previously unpaid taxes on behalf of a taxing entity client in a large, complex hospital bankruptcy.
  • Represented prominent families in contested probate disputes involving significant estate assets.
  • Assisted in the successful closing of a merger and acquisition transaction valued at more than $100 million.
  • Obtained a take-nothing summary judgment for a commercial client in an employment discrimination and breach of contract lawsuit involving more than $1 million in alleged damages.
  • Regularly advises alternative finance companies on claim recovery, secured transactions, and regulatory authority.
  • Defended corporate clients against improper receiverships and collection efforts relating to pre-existing judgments.
  • Successfully acquired and defended on appeal the appointment of a receiver over sovereign citizen debtors with excessive filings.
