Mr. Leaverton represents a variety of individuals and entities in general corporate and transactional matters across a variety of industries. This representation includes a regular practice in all aspects of the automotive, banking, finance, and real estate industries, among others. Mr. Leaverton serves as outside general counsel for multiple companies of all sizes providing legal counsel on various business and legal issues that arise on a day-to-day basis. Mr. Leaverton also has significant litigation experience throughout Texas, in both state and Bankruptcy court, as well as throughout the United States where he regularly manages outside counsel and litigation matters for various clients.
Mr. Leaverton began his career with Padfield & Stout, LLP during 2009 as a law clerk and became a licensed Texas attorney serving primarily as a litigation associate until 2013. In 2013, Mr. Leaverton accepted an opportunity to serve as Corporate Counsel for a company operating in the automotive industry where he practiced for three years before returning to the firm in 2016. In 2019, Mr. Leaverton was named Partner at the firm. During his previous tenure with the firm, Mr. Leaverton spent four years as both a law clerk and associate engaging primarily in an extensive motion practice in civil litigation.
