Biography

Katherine Soley’s practice is focused on civil litigation in both state and federal court. Prior to joining Padfield & Stout, LLP, she represented businesses and individuals in a variety of civil matters in North Carolina. After successfully representing clients in North Carolina, Katherine decided to return to her roots and continue her practice here in Texas.

Katherine enjoys analyzing situations from multiple angles, leaving no detail overlooked. This dedication to learning about the many faceted issues in cases empowers her to better advocate on her client’s behalf. She enjoys crafting arguments for her clients in both written and verbal form, and finds energy from speaking in front of a crowd. Whether it is in the courtroom or during settlement negotiations, her goal is to be a zealous advocate for her clients.

  • While attending Wake Forest University School of Law, Katherine received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award (highest grade) for the Litigation Externship Clinic – Deposition Intensive, Spring 2018. 
  • She served as Notes and Comments Editor of the Wake Forest Journal of Business & Intellectual Property Law. 
  • Katherine was extensively involved in pro-bono legal work. She was particularly passionate about Lawyers 4 Literacy and the Family Preparedness Project
