From the firm’s main office located in downtown Fort Worth, the firm serves clients in jurisdictions throughout Texas. Building on the attorneys’ expertise in all aspects of litigation in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts—including selection of venue, pleading and motion practice, discovery, trial strategy, negotiation, mediation, preparation and presentation of evidence, and appeals. The firm also counsels clients on alternatives to litigation and provides representation in various transactional matters.
The firm is particularly positioned to provide legal representation throughout the State of Texas — as it either has offices or is affiliated with local counsel in every major metropolitan city in Texas and in each of the twenty-three cities where Texas bankruptcy courts are located. The attorneys of the firm are knowledgeable regarding local rules, practices, and personalities of the bankruptcy courts and the State county courts, district courts, and appellate courts sitting in Tarrant County and Dallas County, having appeared as counsel before all of the current judges.
Alan B. Padfield and Mark W. Stout are founding partners of the firm, a limited liability partnership formed in 2003 as a continuation of their practice of law together since 1998.
